On Monday, June 9th, we'll be hosting a small, one-day event that we so lovingly named, the "Dungeon Drop Event!" Your goal will be to find the drop item that brings you into the dungeon instance that houses one of us, "us" being one of the .. mysterious .. us. (One of us .. 3 .. mysterious ... us ... Hey, that should be our new name, the 3 Mysterious Us! Oh... if only we had Mysterious Robes...) As a reward, we'll throw free money at you! Sounds good, yes? c:
The Free Money: 1m, 750, and 500k. Is that enough incentive to have you come play with us? c:
When: Monday, June 9th, after the guild meeting. Not only will it make it easier to bring you all together, but we will also be releasing the details of which dungeon we'll be hiding in, and the regions / maps the drop items cover. So you might want to come to the guild meeting, Idenn's homestead ch5. Just saying. (:
How it works: The first ten minutes of the event will be reserved for you to gather as many drop items as you wish to. When these ten minutes are up, the 3 Mysterious Us will run off to the mysterious dungeon, awaiting the arrival of three lucky winners who manage to guess the correct item that was dropped onto the altar. (eg. Mysterious Us #1 will drop a berry, Mysterious Us #2 will drop a branch, and Mysterious Us #3 will drop an apple onto Rabbie altar, and the first person to join the party opened in the dungeon wins one of the above prizes). Until all three winners claim their prize, your goal is to find the drop item in one of three ways:
1. Smack the smackable! The drop item(s) may come from a tree, or a rock, or a sign post ... who knows?
2. Explore the explorable! The drop item(s) may come from a chest, or a monster found only through exploration ... who knows?
3. Gather the gatherable! The drop item(s) may come from a nearby sheep, or a cow, or a hen ... who knows?
4. Produce the producable! The drop item(s) may come from only the items gathered on the region / map itself. But don't worry, we'll be kind - we'll make sure that you'll only need rank F of any production skill if we decide to use a produced item. And we'll make sure the production tool required to make the item is in the map too.
5. Defeat the defeatable! The drop item(s) may come simply by defeating the monster in front of you ... who knows?
The winner will be determined in order of who joins the party hidden in the dungeon - there will be no disputes about "ties", and there will be no ties. Though since there are 3 instances of the dungeon, you will have 3 chances to receive free money! So please come take our money, kthnxhai. c:
Note that the drop item list will only contain those that are found in a specific list of regions and/or maps. We generally won't make you run off to the opposite of the continent. Probably.
What we won't make you do:
- The items will not be a field boss drop; that is, if the item can only specifically be found from a field boss, it will not be one of the potential drop items.
- The items will not be one formed out of a quest (eg. exploration statues).
- The items will not be an expensive item. So don't worry, you can keep your Hellhound Skull safe in your inventory.
- The items will not be a piece of equipment, unless commonly dropped from monsters in the area.
- The items will not be NPC sold, unless it can also be commonly dropped from monsters in the area.
- The items will not be gold. So it won't be 1g, 2g, 3g, or 4. Or 5g, or 6g, or 7g more. ...Or a cheque.
Rules:
1. Once you receive a prize, you are no longer eligible to receive another prize for the duration of this event. We need to save money for other fellow guildies, sorry. ):
- However, if you stumble upon one of us and choose to forfeit your prize, you may pursue another drop item. Keep in mind though, the prize will not be reserved for you as you have forfeited it. (But since you would've already known what the drop item is, you could just come back and claim it as long as no one else has.)
2. Teamwork will not be discouraged, but prizes will not be split by us. Though if you wish to split the prize through your own means, you're free to. We hold no responsibility if your guildie decides to go back on their word though. ):
3. We discourage pre-gathering your drop items. Please don't do it; be fair to everyone.
Potential Maps:
In Uladh or Iria, they may also include 2 adjacent maps to the one the dungeon resides in. Details may follow at a later time.
Please note that between now and the June 9th guild meeting, rules are subjected to change. We'll try to let you know if we do change things around though.
