Yes, It is possible to get a 6 slot combo card of the same skill...it just takes forever...

On a side note, creating a combo card such as this seems to double my max damage on a crit on that last shot, 21.someodd k to 43k - This is of course with optimal ideal conditions ex : Raincasting and with wc's dmg capped at 1.5k mana.

Overall in the long run if you plan to spend the $2 a month to maintain it's time duration it's worth it.
